Faulkner realized that he could create greater influences if they depicted native aspects of his community. This third publication seemed very i nteresting to Faulkner but not to his publishers. His first publisher refused to wok with him and so did many other publishers. After a unhinged search for a publisher, Faulkner finally got a willing one in the year 1926. However, the novel was only released after excessive editing and changes made to his title.
